Warren Cooney Joins The Guarantee as Vice President, Underwriting and Risk

TORONTO,  ON, Oct. 2, 2018/insPRESS/ – The Guarantee Company of North America (The Guarantee) is delighted to announce that Warren Cooney will join The Guarantee as Vice President, Underwriting and Risk, effective November 5, 2018.

Warren has worked broadly for over 20 years in the financial services and insurance industry. He is a bilingual lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar (1994). His experience is concentrated in complex specialty claims with international insurers and senior compliance roles. He also worked in the Corporate Policy and Public Affairs Branch of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario,  and as a Senior Policy Advisor at Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada.

In addition, Warren spent two years in the Brussels office of US law firm Steptoe & Johnson’s Financial Services Group focusing on insurance regulation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Hamilton College in the US and Bachelor of Common and Civil Law Degrees from McGill University.
