TORONTO, ON, MARCH 2, 2026/insPRESS/ – This expansion is led by Hani Barzagar and the First General Edmonton team under the operational leadership of Tom Bell, in partnership with Korey McQuillan, local owner and General Manager of FG Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo. Together, they combine seasoned leadership, deep local expertise, and the full operational strength and resources of First General Edmonton to deliver exceptional service across the region.

As General Manager, Korey brings more than 25 years of experience in the restoration and construction industry and has been a resident of Fort McMurray for nearly two decades. During that time, he owned and operated an independent disaster restoration company for over 10 years, serving the Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo region directly for national and regional insurance carriers, as well as providing subcontracted services to major national restoration providers. This long-standing local presence offers insurers the personalized service of a community-based contractor, backed by the consistency, systems, and accountability of a national brand partner.

Korey’s in-depth knowledge of the region’s building conditions, insurer expectations, and emergency response requirements positioned his team to successfully manage both residential and large-scale commercial restoration projects during the recovery efforts following the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire.
