Mental Health Survey

Canadian Underwriter first launched its Mental Health Survey in 2024, when the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry faced a record number of natural catastrophe claims. Our survey results showed a significant number of people in the P&C insurance industry reporting high levels of stress and anxiety. Many people felt uncomfortable discussing their mental health with colleagues, and few people were taking any time off to improve their mental health outlook. Our survey findings are intended to promote a greater awareness of mental health issues in the industry, as well as provide resources to help people feel better.
