Morrow succeeds Robert Beauchamp in the Quebec regional role. Beauchamp, who has announced his retirement, was appointed to the role in 2023 to help establish the company’s presence and drive growth in Quebec. He also launched Globalex Assurances, the broker consolidator’s Quebec subsidiary. Morrow previously held the role of commercial brand, marketing and projects director. He first joined the company in 2023 as a senior account executive. He assumed his newly expanded leadership position effective May 1, 2025. “His leadership will help us stay ahead of industry developments, strengthen our presence in Quebec, and drive growth across Canada,” says president and CEO Jamie Lyons. “Sean’s appointment marks another milestone in Westland’s journey as a truly national, customer-focused, and team-driven company.” Westland says Morrow joins an “already well-established team” in Quebec, which is made up of former independent practice owners. Beauchamp retired after more than 30 years in the insurance industry. He led the consolidation of Westland’s Montreal operations and helped the brokerage establish its presence in the province. Prior to Westland, Beauchamp was vice president of commercial lines in Quebec with NFP Canada, and also served as president of Invessa — a company he founded in 2001 that is one of the largest property and casualty brokerages in Quebec. He also held other senior industry roles with Aviva Canada, CGU Insurance, and SimplAssur. “Robert’s leadership in Quebec has been fundamental,” says Don Thompson, the brokerage’s chief operating officer. “While we wish him the best in his retirement, this transition reflects Westland’s continued commitment to building a nationally integrated brokerage firm powered by exceptional people.” Subscribe to our newsletters Subscribe Subscribe Alyssa DiSabatino Alyssa Di Sabatino has been a reporter for Canadian Underwriter since 2021, covering industry trends, market developments, and emerging risks.
