Specialty Program Group Canada says the MGAs will be rebranded as SPG Canada. The rollout of the rebrand will be gradual, and will be done by underwriting verticals. The rebrand starts with Cansure’s construction portfolio and i3 Underwriting. “The first teams to adopt the new SPG Canada branding will be Buildersure by Cansure, an award-winning team known for its market-leading construction and wrap-up liability insurance solution,” SPGC wrote in a release. “At the same time, our i3 Underwriting brand will be rebranded SPG Canada. This will impact all i3 Underwriting products, operations, and underwriting teams.” Buildersure by Cansure will now go by SPG Canada Construction. The rest of Cansure’s underwriting operations will “continue to evolve” through to the end of 2025. Finally, Anderson McTague & Associates, which operates in Atlantic Canada, as well as SPGC’s Quebec operations will be rebranded in 2026. SPGC is rebranding its MGA operations as SPG Canada so it can offer “a single, unified national identity,” the parent company said. The rebrand is a strategic move that will streamline the company’s operations, enhance service delivery, and support its continued brand growth across Canada, SPGC said. “Our goal is to build on the strengths of our legacy brands while creating a unified identity that reflects our scale, ambition, and commitment to excellence” Cameron Copeland, president and CEO said. “We’re excited to embark on this next chapter and thank our partners for their continued trust and support as we continue to deliver greater value to our carrier and broker partners, and our policyholder customers under a unified national brand and platform.” SPGC said the rebrand will roll out in phases, and the integration will be aligned by vertical into its new and proprietary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
